Description
The Senior Fund Manager is a senior member of the real estate investment team, reporting directly to the Director of Real Estate Investments. In this role, they are responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of one or more of the firm’s regulated real estate investment funds.
Responsibilities
- Implement the investment strategy and guidelines set forth by the Head of Real Estate Investment Funds and the Director.
- Source, evaluate, and recommend specific real estate investment opportunities for the fund portfolio.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential acquisitions, including financial analysis, market research, and risk assessment.
- Negotiate and structure real estate transactions, such as acquisitions, dispositions, and financing.
- Manage the assets in the fund portfolio, including overseeing property management, capital improvements, and value-enhancement initiatives.
- Monitor the performance of individual investments and the overall fund, and make portfolio allocation adjustments as needed.
- Prepare regular reports and updates on the fund’s performance, risk profile, and compliance status for the Director and investors.
- Collaborate with the firm’s compliance, legal, and accounting teams to ensure the fund operates within all applicable regulations.
Experience
5 to 7 years of experience
Qualifications and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree (Mandatory)
- CME 1 certification (Mandatory)
- CME 4 certification (Mandatory)
- Master's degree (Preferred)
- CAIA certification (Preferred)
