Mr. Omar Alkhatib is an experienced governance, risk, and finance expert with over 10 years of experience in different advisory roles. Mr. Alkhatib’s expertise lies in management consulting, auditing, corporate governance, accounting, risk management, and internal controls in several industries including information technology, investments management, healthcare, contracting, manufacturing, and real-estate.
Mr. Alkhatib is currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Majd Arabia, a specialized advisory firm providing governance, oversight, and project management services to the public, private, and non-profit sectors. Mr. Alkhatib is responsible for leading the company’s operations, finance, business development and administration and ensure the effective execution of the company’s strategy.
Also, Mr. Alkhatib is the current Chief Financial Officer for Itmam Consultancy, where he is leading the company’s portfolio and high-profile projects serving the public and private sectors in the areas of corporate governance, building and reviewing regulations, and running compliance review operations. Mr. Alkhatib was involved in several high profile projects carried out by Itmam Consultancy, including operating intellectual property consultative clinics for the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property as well as the strategy development and support development of main program products for the National Technology Development Program.
Previously, Mr. Alkhatib served as a manger in internal audit for Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare facility in Dammam, where he was responsible for successful completion of audit engagements from start to finish, inclusive of planning and wrap up and managing and directing daily activities of audit team members during internal audit engagements.
Mr. Alkhatib started his career at PwC in its assurance division in Khobar, where he performed audit engagements in an orderly manner in accordance with PwC audit approach.
In addition to his work experience, Mr. Alkhatib sits on multiple boards. He is currently a board member and audit committee member at Azm FinTech. He is also an audit committee member on the boards of Tech Trans, Nourah AlMalahi Foundation, and Tanmeya Capital.
Mr. Alkhatib graduated from the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He is also a licensed CPA and a Project Management Professional (PMP).
