Mr. Ahmed Abdulla Al Sakran is a seasoned senior executive possessing a wealth of 20+ Years experience and expertise in various areas, including Private Equity, Venture Capital, Project Finance, Corporate Finance, Portfolio Management, Investment Management, Business Strategy, Organization Design & Development, and Training & Vocational Education Leadership.

Throughout his career as a leader in driving organizational growth, he has successfully led the full cycle of Private Equity, Venture Capital, Project Finance, Private Equity, and Capital Markets transactions, including origination and deal sourcing, due diligence (financial, legal, and commercial), structuring, post-acquisition monitoring, and exit of investments. He has managed teams of managers and senior analysts to review local, regional, and international investment opportunities, optimizing portfolio diversification in both debt and equity markets.

With well-developed organizational, project management, and advanced corporate finance skills, Mr. Al Sakran possesses a solid understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and portfolio management. He is a veteran in BOT, BOO, and PPP transaction structuring, assessment, and execution.

Ahmed has extensive experience managing stakeholders, including local and international regulatory authorities, corporate clients, institutional investors, and financial institutions. He has a regional and international business development and investment exposure covering markets such as Bahrain, Kuwait, KSA, Qatar, UAE, Jordan, Turkey, Malaysia, and the UK.

His knowledge, exposure, and experience span various sectors, including Real Estate, Leasing, Manufacturing, ICT, Medical, Retail, Higher Education, and Financial Services, reflected in his successful execution of deals by leading and contributing to transactions across various industries and geographies, where he has orchestrated regional Private Equity, M&A, Project Finance transactions worth over US$ 720 million (SAR 2.7 billion).

Prior to his current role as the Vice President - Private Equity at Tanmeya Capital, Mr. Al Sakran led the regional operations and expansion activities of Golden Trust, a regulated consultancy and training services provider. He provided expert advice and guidance to businesses and leaders in areas such as leadership, investment strategy, investment performance, human capital development, organization development, business strategy, and financial management.

Before joining Golden Trust, he held the position of Associate Director - Private Equity at Capinnova Investment Bank, the Islamic Investment Banking arm of BBK. He was responsible for structuring and executing Private Equity transactions in the GCC region. He has also worked at Sarooh Investment Company as a Business Development Manager in charge of Private Equity and Corporate Finance. Ahmed has also served in roles at Investors Bank, Central Bank of Bahrain, and served as a board member in companies operating in the ICT, Medical, and Real Estate industries.

In his role as a member of the management Investment & Credit Committee (ICC) and Asset Liability Management Committee (ALCO) in organizations he served, Ahmed contributes strategic guidance and oversight on investment decisions, risk management, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Outside of his professional engagements, Ahmed has served as a board member and treasurer of the Bahrain SMEs Society from 2015 to 2021. He is currently a member of the Arab Open University - Bahrain College of Business Advisory Board and a Life/Professional Member at the Bahrain Society for Training & Development (BSTD).

Ahmed holds a BA in Financial Services from Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK. He is also a Certified Project Finance Specialist (CPFS) from the American Academy of Financial Management (AAFM) and a Certified PRISM Brain Mapping Practitioner from the Center for Applied Neuroscience in the UK.
