Abdulrahman Abdulla Al Kooheji is a highly experienced banking and investment professional, with a distinguished career spanning over four decades in corporate banking, investment structuring, financial advisory, and governance. His expertise extends across Islamic finance, structured finance, investment banking, and asset management, having held key executive and board positions in leading financial institutions across the GCC.
Throughout his career, Al Kooheji has played a pivotal role in shaping financial institutions, including serving as Deputy CEO at International Leasing & Investment Company, Assistant General Manager at ABC Islamic Bank, and Head of Structured Finance at Shamil Bank of Bahrain. His leadership has been instrumental in structuring and syndicating multi-million-dollar investment deals across global markets, with a track record of successfully closing transactions exceeding USD 300 million.
Beyond executive roles, Al Kooheji has served on the boards of major financial institutions, including Khaleeji Commercial Bank, United Capital Bank (Sudan), and Elaf Bank, where he played a critical role in risk management, audit oversight, and governance strategy. His deep understanding of financial structuring, risk management, and corporate strategy has positioned him as a thought leader in the regional financial sector.
